Red Barberry is a limited crop in FarmVille 2 and is only available until October 3, 2016. The seeds can be bought in the General Store for 42 Coins after the player has reached Level 7.
After watering the plot with 1 Water the Red Barberry grows for 6 hours and is ready for harvesting after that. Each harvested Red Barberry can be sold for 59 Coins, used for Recipes such as 
Red Barberry Rice, 
Red Barberry Lemon Bites and 
Heirloom Red Barberry Lemon Bites or crushed in the Feed Mill to make 6 Feed for the Animals.
