The Fondue Vat is a merchandise booth quest that starts January 26th, 2016. With Valentine's Day coming up, a booth selling chocolate treats is set up.
Building[]
The vat is automatically placed near the Farm Hand hay bales. The materials to build the vat are:
- 3- 10 Fondue Kettles (Post)
- 3 - 10 Wooden Skewers (Ask)
- 3 - 10 Checkered Tablecloths (Ask)
Amount of materials may vary. Each item can be bought for 2 
Farmbucks each. Alternatively, players may buy the finished building for 17 - 54 Farmbucks, depending on the amount of materials it asks for.
After all materials are gathered, at least 2 Neighbors are needed to complete the building. One it is finished, players will be able to access the quest's main menu.
The Quest[]
Players must craft three different treats, then invite Neighbors over to exchange the treats for Chocolate Hearts (players may also hire an NPC for 1 Farmbuck). In addition, some NPCs may show up randomly at the grill. NPCs and Neighbors can stay up to 8 
hours if a treat is not readily available.

The rewards for gathering the Chocolate Hearts are:
- 15 hearts - 5 Brick Heart Pavers (buy: 10
Farmbucks) - 30 hearts - Arjuna Tree (buy: 11 Farmbucks)
- 55 hearts - Resource Pack (5 Super Feed, 5 Speed-Grow, 5 Unwither, 10,000 Coins) (buy: 30 Farmbucks)
- 85 hearts - Overflowing Bronze Fountain (buy: 15 Farmbucks)
- 120 hearts - Baby Amiatina Donkey, 10 Favors
Glitches[]
There is a glitch in this quest thankfully benefits the player. Before players finish building their Fondue Vats, they should first go to the General Store and highlight either the Rose Myrtle or the Pear Tree. When Pears in Syrup appears in the "Used in These Recipes" box, players can click on it to instantly finish their vats.
