Anise is a flower crop in FarmVille 2 and is only available until May 1, 2014. The seeds can be bought in the General Store for 46 Coins after the player has reached Level 25.
After watering the plot with 1 Water the Anise grows for 8 hours and is ready for harvesting after that. Each harvested Anise can be sold for 162 Coins, used for Recipes such as 
Anise Cookies and 
Heirloom Anise Apple Pie or crushed in the Feed Mill to make 12 Feed for the Animals.
